ANTHM ID Women's SS T-shirt

This is a T-shirt.
Chances are that you, like us, own many of them.
There's a chance, that some of you have even considered your t-shirts beyond the color, fit and decoration.
Where did this come from? What’s it made of? What does this company represent?
Maybe you find the term "Organic Cotton" appealing, maybe "Made in America" is important to you. A few of you that is.
The harsh truth is that a precious few  will require it when making a decision to buy.

At ANTHM, we know we're not speaking to the masses.
We know that people seek inexpensive products, especially clothes, and we hope it doesn't come across as too highbrow when we say it but… this is unacceptable.

We believe in excellent and progressive design.
We believe in fewer better things.
We don't want to build more shit, the world's chock full of it.
Laying the groundwork for this company, these are some of the pillars we want to build on.

So "Why?" you may ask, make a T-shirt?
To many people this is a swag item, it's disposable, fashion, one in a drawer of many.
Fair point. But here is what we say to that…

This is not just a t-shirt.

No, there's no gift with purchase and no, it doesn't fold up into a pillow or anything.

This is an agreement, an understanding.
It's a investment in a process.
We've chosen to place our brand mark on "Cotton of the Carolinas". It comes from a farm we can visit in North Carolina. It is grown, ginned, spun, knit, finished, cut, sewn and printed within a 200 mile radius before being sent to us here in Portland. You can even track your own shirt here: wearyourclothing.com. This is our supply chain. We've chosen to invest in knowing what we wear, where it comes from, and whose lives were affected, both positively and negatively, in the making of it.

This is how we'll go forward building products. It won't be easy. It won't be cheap.
It also won't get shipped around the world from some distant factory where we can't see the waste water, or have confidence in the worker's conditions.
Local & transparent, we'll do our very best.
It's our promise to you.
We hope you'll come along for the ride, because we need your help.
This is not just a t-shirt. This is ANTHM Collective.
